When the need for compassionate, professional in-home care arises, Ask… for Home Care is the answer.

ASK…for Home Care partners with senior citizens and their families for the duration of the care journey. We provide in-home care services that are tailored specifically to the needs of our clients, because health care cannot be mass produced. In-home care is perfect for those who require some assistance, but do not need to be in a hospital or care facility.

When living at home is no longer an option, we can provide services, either respite or long-term, at the Homesteads in Cushing and Owls Head, sharing services with other residents in home-like settings.

In-Home Services

It is our practice to work with individual clients to help them meet their specific needs.  We can assist with errands, light housework, meal prep, socialization, personal care and more.  During our initial conversation, we will talk about specific needs and create an individualized care plan.  We assign as many caregivers as you might need, but strive to send as few as possible, to encourage close working relationships.  Our experienced staff can provide all levels of care from minimal assistance to total care including all stages of dementia.

Homestead Services

When in-home services become too expensive or unavailable, we can provide our services at the Homesteads, where the cost for care is shared amongst all the residents, better utilizing staff and decreasing cost!

Nursing services are also available to pre-pour medications, assess medical problems, perform foot care or handle emergencies. Respite care in a homesharing setting like the Homesteads represents a significant cost savings.

“The small model is the way of the future, I hope.  The staff were caring and friendly.  Dad was in a safe place because there was just enough – and not too much – attention to rules and precautions.  We like it that the Homestead was nearby, but I realize not everyone can say that.  I appreciate Joanne’s candor: we knew what to expect.”

“That there were only a few other people in the house – not institutional.  When my Dad passed away, only Mallorie and I were with him.  It was as peaceful as could be;  not bureaucratic.  No drama.”

“Expand!  Build more of these neighborhood facilities.  Maybe someday more people will be able to take advantage of what we were lucky enough to find for the end of my Dad’s life.”
